Once a car is no longer drivable, it heads to the junkyard. But before it ends up on the scrap heap, machines like the Powerhand VRS are used to rip apart the car to separate materials, maximizing recyclability of components. It looks like a great way to work out aggression too.

GazR’s Extreme Brick Machines! continues to entertain with their LEGO Technic prowess. In this video, they pitted a powerful propeller-driven car against a train engine and a 4×4. Which vehicle will reign supreme in the LEGO tug-of-war?

We’re still waiting for the jetpacks that sci-fi stories promised, but flying cars are here. AirCar Prototype 1 has received a Certificate of Airworthiness with production models due in 2023. The push of a button transforms the two-seater between car and aircraft modes in three minutes.

Designer and automotive enthusiast Joe Harmon wanted a sports car that stood out from the crowd. Rather than a Lambo or Ferrari, he built his own custom supercar. Known as The Splinter, the unique car features a chassis, body, and interior made mostly from wood. Naturally, the drivetrain is made from conventional materials.

GazR’s Extreme Brick Machines built this unique LEGO Technic vehicle that stores energy in a flywheel. A rig consisting of 21 Powered-Up L motors and six Smart Hubs transfers power to the flywheel, then the car can continue driving on its own. It doesn’t go very far but has enough torque to climb a hill.

This unique system parks cars in an underground garage while taking up minimal space. TreviPark’s silo-shaped parking lot has spaces set up in a circular arrangement around a central elevator which can rotate to access a specific car, then lift it to the surface. This Japanese kei car has supercar looks, but the Autozam AZ-1 wasn’t exactly a powerhouse. Donut Media takes some time up close and personal with this awesome little lightweight that Mazda made from 1992-1995. Like a real exotic, it’s got a mid-rear-mounted, turbocharged engine, gullwing doors, and zero cargo space.

You might think that a flood-damaged car would be bound for the scrapyard, but the guys from WD Detailing did an amazing job removing layers of caked-on mud and grime from this Pontiac Firebird WS6. This video looks back at six of the all-time great race performances, from an Easter Island statue on wheels to a couple of eggs in a frying pan. The backwards camper is our favorite.

BeamNG.drive is known for its ability to simulate vehicle dynamics and crashes with impressive accuracy. In addition to weather conditions, it can also replicate gravitational forces. In this clip from The Action Lab, he shows off what might happen if you tried to drive a pickup truck on the Moon, Jupiter, and even the Sun.

Most cars only steer with their front wheels. But this strange three-wheeled vehicle turns all of its wheels whenever its driver turns its steering crank. Hot Wheels enthusiasts Backyard Racing spent more than 4 months putting together this expansive race track that starts out on their roof. Along the way, the course winds through ladders, sun-dappled PVC tunnels, along fences, and splashes through two inflatable swimming pools.

LEGO Technic expert The Brick Wall shows off a neat machine that uses motors, gears, magnets, and a turntable to allow tiny RC LEGO cars to drive around its surface. After rigging it up to drive with one vehicle, they upgraded it to become a two-player racing game. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s now a four-player version.

We spent a few days getting to know Dodge’s 797 horsepower, Hellcat-powered sedan, and all we can say is “wow.” This monster of a car isn’t just insanely fast off the line, it’s also incredibly comfortable. Driving your sports car into a lake is a very bad idea – unless it’s actually a boat that looks like a car. A group of three friends in Egypt came up with the idea of these custom-made powerboats which look just like convertible sports cars. Sadly, they’re not amphibious, so they only work on water, but they still look awesome.

We didn’t have the patience to wait for the English translation of this Garage 54 video, because it’s too ridiculous to pass up. Stick around and you’ll see them replace the chassis of their see-through Lada with a wonky homemade platform and tall springs that lift the car’s body about 3 feet off the ground. During the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, The Weeknd performed in a live music video that must have taken weeks to plan. The sequence features the singer amid a fleet of vintage cars, as stunt drivers performed precisely choreographed maneuvers – both with the singer inside and outside the vehicles.

We like what Ginger Billy did with this old Festiva – converting it into a tiny pickup truck, then outfitting it with a powerful lawnmower. Now, Billy can cover more ground in less time and stay in the shade while he’s at it.
