Not quite a DSLR yet not quite a point and shoot, Panasonic’s 12.1MP Lumix DMC-G1 uses a micro four thirds system that loses the mirror and prism but allows for swappable lens.
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A900′s chief bragging point is a 24.6MP 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor. However, CNET reports that noise seems to be above average at high ISOs.
Above is a fantastic skateboarding video shot with a Red One Camera; it’s cheaper than professional cameras but will still set you back $17.5k for the body alone.
LG has unveiled the KC910 Renoir, a sleek successor to its Viewty cellphone. It sports a spacious 3″ touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera and 3G HSDPA; it’ll be available 10/08.

Like yesterday’s Nikon S60, Sony’s Cyber-shot DSC-T700 also features a 3.5″ touchscreen in lieu of buttons. We also like the internal 4GB of memory, 10 MP and ISO 3200.
If a camera and an iPod Touch got together, you’d get Nikon’s Coolpix S60. The 10 megapixel camera only has one physical button for the shutter; the entire back is a 3.5″ touchscreen.
