Awesome Battlefield

Freddie Wong follows up on his realistic Battlefield game. The natural audio and visual communication make for good co-op, but we’re not sure if we really want this level of graphical fidelity.

After showing us the lethal potential of defibrillators, Corridor Digital brings another BF3 idiosyncrasy to the real world – the Repair Tool, which ironically can also be used to destroy.

There’s no story in this Battlefield 3 machinima. It’s more of an FPS gamer’s daydream, as YouTuber JackFrags rambos his way through the Davamand Peak map. Song is Departure by Ed Harrison.

While we thought the graphics in Battlefield 3 were pretty impressive, they can never approach the detail of this level, shot with actual humans and realistic locations.

You’re probably too busy trying to replicate that airborne bazooka kill to notice the details, but slow down for a couple of minutes and check out the sheer gorgeousness of BF3’s Frostbite engine.

While it’s not as zen as that Skyrim arrow kill, we have to hand it to this guy for this incredible kill he pulls off by jumping out of his plane with a bazooka – firing, then getting back in the cockpit.

Video game mythbusters Defend the House examines some of the claims in Battlefield 3, from the mundane to the practical to the absolutely insane. The mobile resupply-health kit is a nice idea.

(NSFW: Language) YouTuber Robbaz is a F*CKING YENIUS. He used the weapon customization in Battlefield 3 to create a sniper shotgun. His lines are as lethal as his gun too. Viking pride!

Battlefield 3 uses Jay-Z’s song to bury the competition – EA’s got 99 problems, but CoD ain’t one. If you still doubt it’s Call of Duty, calling out the CoD tagline at the end will destroy all doubts.

It’s a total tease, but this short clip gives us our first look at in-game footage – and it looks nothing short of spectacular. We’ll have to wait until the Fall to play, but we’re sure we’ll get more footage soon.
