Joel and Ethan Coen directed their first commercial for the big game since 2002, an amusing spot for Mercedes-AMG featuring a bar filled with stereotypically tough bikers, and a guy who rudely blocks in their motorcycles with his fancy pants German sportscar.
These bad boy luxury sedans have a new 4.0L twin-scroll turbo V8, with 563 hp or 603 hp in the “S” edition, launching this beast from 0-to-60 in 3.3 to 3.4s. A wet-clutch 9-speed gearbox cuts weight and improves response times, and cylinder deactivation improves fuel economy.
A drop-top version of AMG’s powerful, yet sophisticated S65 Coupe. It rocks a 630 hp bi-turbo V12 capable of launching it to 62 mph in just 4.1s, and has heated seats, armrests, and neck vents to keep you toasty even with the top down on cool days.
The militaristic G-class gets the crazy AMG treatment, with a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine, blasting out 544hp, and attached to a deft AMG Speedshift Plus 7-Speed transmission.
The new AMG drops almost 300 pounds, driven by a 5.5L twin-turbo V8 with 530hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Add the performance package for 557hp and 664 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 186mph.
