Awesome Alligators

The TPC Louisiana golf course is home to numerous alligators. Among them is a three-legged beast nicknamed “Tripod.” Blake McFarland was commissioned by Zurich to immortalize the big guy. Like some of his other sculptures, he carved Tripod’s body from foam, cast a fiberglass shell, and covered it with recycled tires.

Living in Florida, you might occasionally see an alligator in your neighborhood. While relocating these dangerous reptiles is best left to the professionals, this one resident had the cojones to snatch this gator up with a garbage can. He then wheeled it over to a nearby swamp to go about its business. Video by Roy Bonilla.

Whether you’re just pranking your friends by dropping it into their swimming pool, or you want to scare off waterfowl, Flytec’s remote-controlled crocodile head should do the trick. Basically, it’s just a toy boat that looks like a gator, but it looks pretty convincing to us. Now somebody needs a full-size boat that looks like this.

A guy driving his truck through a field in Louisiana had a close encounter with a alligator, and for some reason he decided to drive towards the angry reptile instead of backing away. He got exactly what he deserved.

You’d think that these skinny little birds would have no chance against deadly gaze (and jaws) of this alligator, but it turns out theses sandhill cranes have no problem telling this gator to stay off their turf.
