Awesome Alienware

Alienware turned up at CES 2020 with a prototype gaming system that’s basically a Nintendo Switch, but with all of the capability of a Windows 10 gaming PC. The portable device can run all of your favorite PC games on its 8″ screen, and has detachable controllers. There’s no word on specs or if it will go into production yet.

Clocking in at 5.79 lb, Alienware’s 2019 m17 is the world’s thinnest and lightest 17″ gaming laptop, thanks to its copper and magnesium alloy case. It can be maxed out with Intel’s 8th gen Core i9 CPU and NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU. It drops 1/29/19 starting at $1649.

Alienware’s new desktop replacement gaming laptop. The beastly Area-51m can be maxed out with desktop-class Core i9 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU… for now. That’s because you can swap out its CPU and GPU, as well as its RAM and battery. Drops 1/29/19 for $2549+.

Goodbye chunky Alienware laptops. The upcoming m15 has a 15.6″ screen yet looks more like a 13″ laptop thanks to its thin side bezels. It comes in 1080p or 4K variants, has 8th Gen Intel CPUs and maxes out with a GTX 1070 GPU. Drops 10/25/18 starting at $1299.

The Area-51 PC retains its cool, cavernous and colossal chassis, but Alienware’s flagship PC can soon be maxed out with either AMD’s Threadripper or Intel’s Core X – CPUs that can handle intensive gaming, streaming and video processing at the same time.

Alienware’s new 25″ 1080p LCD monitor provides up to 240Hz refresh rates and a 1ms response time for a smooth gaming experience. It’s also highly adjustable and has RGB accent lighting at the back. It has NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync compatible versions.

Alienware’s smallest gaming laptop now comes with a mobile version of the new GTX 1060 GPU and quad-core i5/i7 CPU, and its keyboard now has N-key rollover. It works with Alienware’s external GPU dock and can be configured with a 2560×1440 OLED touchscreen.

This little black box adds a gaming PC to your living room. It’s capable of playing over 1000 titles from the Steam library, and plays with either the mouse-accurate Steam Controller or an Xbox 360 joystick. Full review on Technabob. Available from Dell or GameStop.

Alienware’s bank- and back-breaking flagship is back. The new Alienware 18 has a 1080p 18″ WLED display, factory overclocked and user-replaceable 4th gen Core i7 CPU, at least 16GB RAM and starts with dual 6GB GTX 970M in SLI.

The MacBook Air of gaming laptops. The base model “only” gets you a 1366×768 screen, Core i5 ULV CPU, GTX 860M GPU & 8GB RAM, but it’s the most sensible build. If you’re willing to spend more you might as well get something else.

The Area-51 desktop PC has an unorthodox case, designed to maximize air flow and provide easy access to ports and parts. It will work with the new Intel 8-core CPUs and DDR4 RAM, and can fit up to three full-size double-wide GPUs.

Alienware’s updated laptops are available in 14″, 17″ or 18″ screens. They come with metal alloy bodies, Intel’s Haswell CPUs and variable LEDs all over. Options include a 3D 1080p screen, dual GPUs and wireless HDMI.

Besides using their computers for this high res rendering of the 3D projection mapping and film, Alienware’s Area 52 Airstream production also incorporates pyrotechnics and live action.

The new king of the Alienware laptop line, the 16lb. M18x has a 18.4″ Full HD WLED screen. You can have it with a quad core Core i7 overclocked to 4GHz, up to 32GB RAM and dual graphics cards.

Dell Alienware’s M11x packs a 15″ laptop into a sub-12″ form factor; it features an 11.6″ 720p screen, Nvidia GT335M card, 6+ hours of battery life, and DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA-out.

Alienware’s most powerful MicroATX desktop ever, the Aurora ALX maxes out with an overclocked 3.6GHz Core i7 975, dual ATI or NVIDIA cards, up to 24GB RAM and liquid cooling.

Alienware’s M15x laptop gets seriously upgraded; it packs a 2.0GHz Core i7 920XM CPU, a 1GB GeForce GTX 260M, up to 8GB RAM, Blu-ray burner, FireWire and 3 USB ports.

Alienware dives into gaming accessories with its own private label TactX Keyboard and Mouse; both sport customizable lighting, user profiles and buttons, albeit at a premium price.

Surprisingly tame in design for Alienware, the TactX Headset is a pair no-nonsense gaming cans with closed ear cups, retractable mic, and 3 ft cord with generous 7 ft extension.

The “M” stands for “monster” with Alienware’s new M17x gaming laptop; it tops out with a quad-core CPU, dual 1GB GeForce GTX 280M GPUs, 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD.

Although rather cheap at just over $1K, Alienware’s Area-51 750i gaming desktop is a good value: you’ll get a 3GHz Core 2 Duo, 512MB 9800GT, 2GB of RAM and a beefy 750W PSU.

Alienware’s M17 is their first CrossfireX capable notebook, with support for up to two ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics cards; it can also handle Intel quad-core CPUs and 4 GB of RAM.
