Adobe Photoshop CS6 is now available for pre-order. Notable features include background saving, auto-recovery, a modernized user interface, a new crop tool and more content-aware tools.

You can now try out the latest version of Adobe’s image editing software.PS CS6 brings a streamlined UI, improved auto correction, new content aware tools, lens blur effects and more.

Previously available on Android, Photoshop Touch is now on the iPad 2. It lets you use familiar tools such as layers and filters and easily share your work. Limited to 1600×1600 resolution though.

Some of the slick new features in Photoshop CS6 build upon the Content Aware Fill tool. We’ll be able to tell Photoshop where to base its fill, move and fill or extend a selection in one step.

Adds more quick and easy fixes and effects, including resizing without distortion, paintable effects and photo style matching, as well as easier search and sharing functions. More here and here.

Along with CS 5.5, the upcoming update to the Create Suite applications, Adobe is also introducing yearly and monthly subscription plans for both individual programs and packages. Price list here.
