A unique machine designed solely to produce eerie sounds for horror films. Luthier Tony Duggan-Smith created this combination of strings, rods, magnets, wood, and other found objects so Indie Film Maker could make original sounds instead of turning to a stock library.

Our friends at DriveWithDave spent an afternoon with the new Lotus Evora 400, the fastest Lotus road car ever.  A supercharged 3.5 liter V6 packs 400 horses, and the car sprints from 0-60 in 4.1 seconds with a 186 mph top end. Plus, it’s got an incredible exhaust note.

JK Brickworks shows off another awesome mechanical build – a fully-functional printer/plotter that uses a pen to draw words and images on a sheet of paper that it feeds using the wheels from a LEGO vehicle, and a Mindstorms’ EV3 controller.

TheFieldLab mounted a camera at the bottom of a bucket filled with water, then placed it outdoors where various animals might drink from it. The unique perspective from beneath the surface is both silly and soothing.

We’re going to go out on a limb and say that a musician with the bold theatricality of Puddles the Clown owes a great debt to David Bowie, so it’s only fitting that he should take one of The Thin White Duke’s greatest tunes, and knock it out of the park.

There’s something just so satisfying about watching this Thermwood 5-axis milling machine gradually transform a nondescript block of low-density foam into an intricately-carved sculpture. We wonder how long it took to complete the entire model.

The Common Folk’s Spring Summer 2017 collection is a tongue-in-cheek mix of traditional Japanese silhouettes and athleisure, decked in the season’s colors and patterns. The headliner is a kimono-length reversible sukajan, but all the pants are fire.

Master of making stuff The Q is back with another cool build, though this one is decidedly less complex than his other creations. It’s a tiny, handheld ping pong table, which lets you bounce the ball back and forth between the sides when you can’t find a partner.

Designed by Gerard De Hoop for Pols Potten, Bricks are minimalist bookshelves that mimic the construction of a brick wall. They provide an illusion of space while allowing easy access to their contents. Available as freestanding shelves or as a wall-mounted shelf.

We’ve had no luck finding out the name of this Korean musician that Mo Elnadi recorded while performing on the street in London, but we were duly impressed by his minimal cover of Coldplay’s Fix You on his MicroKorgXL synth. His cover of Oasis’ Stand by Me ain’t bad either.

Adidas Originals and Wings + Horns‘ premium take on the Campus silhouette is part of their SS 2017 collection. The shoe’s upper is made of a single piece of water-resistant leather with hand-stitched heel and stripe details. Available in gray and navy.

After building a couple of smaller versions, LEGO fanatic slfroden shows off a jumbo version of his Yoshimoto cube inspired construction which can be endlessly unfolded and folded back on itself.

These bespectacled bulldogs not only look cool, but they sound awesome too. The 12″ tall Aerobull XS1 a pair of 1.2″ mids and a 2.5″ subwoofer, while his big dog brother the 26″ tall AeroBull HD rocks two 2″ full-range drivers, a 5.25″ sub, and a bone-shaped remote.

A campy old film from British Pathé that shows how globes used to be handmade using papier mache, plaster, paper cutting, and painting. While most of today’s globes are mass-produced from plastic, there are still a handful of globemakers who still make them this way.

While we wish we could watch this clip using the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos tech it was designed to showcase, Limbert Fabian and Brandon Oldenburg’ animated short still looks great and Imogen Heap’s soundtrack sounds amazing on a good pair of headphones.

For the 5th anniversary of MB&F’s M.A.D. Gallery, industrial designer Frank Buchwald teamed up with nixie tube specialist Dalibor Farny for an updated version of Buchwald’s incredible Nixie Machine. The steel and brass clock can be tuned manually or online via Wi-Fi.

Master builder ZaziNombies shows how to make a life-size and wearable replica of Minecraft’s Creeper Head out of LEGO. It measures about 10″ on each side and is made of about 1,100 LEGO pieces, including the TNT hidden inside.

United Cutlery’s spiraling 13-1/2″ blade is definitely one of the more dangerous knives we’ve seen, but it sure looks awesome. It’s got a super-sharp piercing point, a lightweight fiberglass/nylon handle, and stainless hand guard and “skull crusher” pommel.
