With respect to our Japanese friends, Commando 2 is still a very fun, side-scrolling shooter. Packed with weapons and bosses, it’s set in World War II China during the occupation.

Although light on action, this latest cinematic trailer for Halo Wars explores a bit of the backstory to the game; it’s set at Harvest, approximately 20 years before Halo: Combat Evolved.

It may be nearly two years old, but Neverwinter Nights 2 still continues to see action on our PC. Above is a trailer for its expansion pack Storm of Zehir; it’ll be available Nov. 18.
Luke Skywalker ain’t got nothin’ on Buck Rogers, the original 1920s sci-fi action hero. This 1:6 scale figure is available for preorder and includes a jet pack and atomic disintegrator gun.
Kitbashes, repaints, mods–whatever you call ‘em, these custom action figures have us drooling. From Transformers and Star Wars to Manga Spawn(!), there’s something for everyone.

International Dance Machine is a portable DJ that with doppler radar, ultrasonic proximity sensors and a freakin’ disco ball; while the trailer’s music is meh, the concept is “sound.”

Spidey is one of our favorite heroes which is why Spiderman: Web of Shadows is near the top of our gaming list; the trailer above has us excited to get our web slingin’ groove on.

For Wii only, The Conduit has a trailer up highlighting the various graphics tricks used; bump mapping isn’t new by a long shot, but it is cool to see everything broken down.
Fast and furious, Ether War is an amped-up Asteroids with enemies and allies. It’s relatively short but anytime your trigger finger starts aching you know it’s a good game.

January ’09 can’t come soon enough: this trailer for Retro Game Challenge demos a gaggle of 80s-ish games; although subtly renamed by we know R.C. Pro Am when we see it!

In theaters 10/10, Body of Lies is a geopolitical thriller in the vein of Syriana; directed by Blade Runner‘s Ridley Scott, it focuses on a series of terrorist strikes around the world.
An epic soundtrack and a color commentator? Nope, it’s not the latest football flick: this is Elbow Wars, an interactive two-player movie theater slugfest with no-holds (or elbows) barred.
This Cylon Raider Artisan Replica is about as close to real thing as you’d want to get; made for the reimagined Battlestar Galactica, it’ll include a random signature from the cast.

The Sims 3 has a lengthy behind the scenes trailer up; an expanded game world and more detailed models means you’ll get to spread your own brand of social dysfunction to an entire town.
The Nintendo DSi is a slimmer version of the DS; it axes the GBA slot but gets a larger 3 1/4″ screen, a 3 MP camera, built-in browser and SD slot. It’ll launch 11/1 in black and white.
While there’s no topping the original big rig Optimus, this Alternity Nissan GT-R variant isn’t half bad; it’s a 1/32 die cast model with both red and silver schemes available in November.
