The 1,500-edition What Does Regret Mean? is a hypervisual retrospective of one of the world’s most outrageous bands. Aaron Tanner’s arty scrapbook features a cacophony of photos, flyers, and thoughts from contemporaries like Jello Biafra, Rob Zombie, and Henry Rollins, plus a repro of the band’s deranged ‘zine, Strange VD.

VICE introduces us to Daniel Schetter, also known as “Surfer Dan,” a local legend in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, who, along with his friends, have made a name for themselves by surfing the frigid winter waves of Lake Superior, and for the amazing ice formations that gather on their exaggerated facial hair.

As intense rains flooded Hawaii’s Waimea Valley, enterprising surfers took advantage, and dug out a channel to let water flow from valley to ocean, creating an makeshift wave pool. Apparently, this isn’t the first time this has happened.
